Cancellation Policy

Cancellation by the Guest

We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, especially if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels.

For a refund of accommodation fees, cancellation must be made seven full days prior to listing’s local check in time (or 3:00 PM if not specified) on the day of check in, otherwise no refund. For example, if check-in is on Friday, cancel by Friday of the previous week before check in time.

If the guest cancels less than 7 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded.

If the guest arrives and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.

Guests failing to arrive, without notification, will be responsible to a charge equivalent to the total reservation price.

No transfer of any bookings are allowed. Only the guest that makes the booking can stay at our establishment. Identification will be asked for and we have the right to refuse stay without acceptable identification in the name of the person booking.  

 

Flexible cancellation option

If the guest selects our flexible cancellation option on our website and pays the £30 non refundable fee. The guest has the option of cancelling the booking with a full refund up until 24 hours of arrival. The £30 is fee not refunded but the room nights not spent will be refunded. The guest must cancel before 1500 before the day of arrival this option is only available on our website and not on telephone bookings.

We take all Bookings in good faith, as we are unable to judge reasons for change, cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Cliftonville Townhouse for either accommodation or goods, services, meals or drinks that are pre booked (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract. For this reason we advise that you take out a suitable insurance product to cover against unexpected costs such as cancellation fees. In addition, we may take legal action, through the Courts, to recover any outstanding debts.

Cancellation by Us

Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full.

Cliftonville Townhouse reserves the right to cancel any bookings should extenuating circumstances or errors occur preventing them from proceeding. Please note this is not good for business and would only be through emergency. Cliftonville Townhouse will not be liable for any losses occurring as a result of such action.

Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions

Additional options /add-ons

All additions and add-on are non-refundable this includes late check-out option, 24 hour cancellation add on and flower purchases. if purchased at check-out these will be not refunded if you cancel the booking.

Reservation Policy

We look forward to welcoming you to Cliftonville Townhouse  When you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.

We are unable to accommodate guests under the age of 18 years at the Cliftonville Townhouse including babies any reservations made with guests under 18 years of age will be cancelled and are non-refundable.

Failure to arrive or contact Cliftonville Townhouse on the first booked day of your reservation will result in the termination of your entire booking and  this will be deemed a no-show, the room will be resold and no refund offered.

One or Two adults only are allowed to stay in the reserved bedroom. Sorry, no visitors.

Arrival and Departure

Check in is available from 3.00pm to 8.00pm (15:00 to 20:00) on the day of arrival. Check-in times outside of those specified must be confirmed with us prior to arrival. We're a really small business so it
would be really helpful if you could please call or email us in advance to let us know your estimated time of arrival.

We ask that you please vacate your room by 11.00am (11:00) on the morning of departure.

Reservations

  1. In the unlikely event that we have to change or cancel your booking we reserve the right to do so.

  2. If we have to cancel your booking due to our forced closure by a Government lockdown, either national or local, or due to infection on the premises, then we will do our best to move your booking to a mutually agreeable future date (within 12 months, subject to availability) and will carry your deposit over to this future stay.  No refunds will be made. Please note we will not be liable for any sums which you have paid to any other persons/parties in connection with your reservation. For the avoidance of doubt, we shall have no further liability to you for any changes to, or the cancellation of, any booking.

  3. If you cancel your booking because you don’t want to travel, or because you have been told to self-isolate, or due to a Government lockdown in your local area, then the normal cancellation policy applies – see section 4 below. We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

  4. For the safety of all guests and staff anyone suffering from Covid-19 symptoms (as described by the Government at that time), either on arrival or during their stay, will be asked to return to their main residence to self-isolate and no refund will be made. We strongly recommend you purchase comprehensive travel insurance

Please note the cancellation policy before committing to a reservation online or via telephone.

In order for us to confirm a reservation, credit/debit card details are required to secure your booking. Full payment is taken from this card.

Flexible cancellation option

If the guest selects our flexible cancellation option on our website and pays the £25 non refundable fee. The guest has the option of cancelling the booking with a full refund up until 24 hours of arrival. The £25 is fee not refunded but the room nights not spent will be refunded. The guest must cancel before 1500 before the day of arrival this option is only available on our website and not on telephone bookings.

Bookings made online may be subject to differing terms and conditions in force at the time of booking. This is to protect your security in carrying out the booking and providing credit card details over the internet.

Car Parking

On street parking is available on a first come basis. Cars parked here are at owners risk.

Change of Room

If a booking is taken out for a specific room and the room reserved is required to meet a specific guest needs or rendered unusable via circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to transfer the booking to an alternative room of similar quality.

Single person rates

We do not offer reduce or single person occupancy rates all our prices are per room with a maximum occupancy of two person. No children or pets are allowed.

Damage and Breakages

Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is significant.

Data

Some of the data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on computer. We would like to hold this data after your visit to be able to inform you of future offers. If you would prefer us not to hold this information please let us know.

Keys

You have access to the building and your room 24 hours a day throughout your stay using a set of keys given to you when you register on arrival. You have full responsibility of these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at £10.00 per key.

Liability

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees whilst acting in the course of their employment.

Lost Property

We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of £10.00 to cover postage and packaging.

Missing Items

We reserve the right to charge for missing items.

Payment

Payment is due on booking and we accept the following charge, credit and debit cards; American Express, Debit MasterCard, Delta, Electron, MasterCard, UK Maestro and Visa.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in at the Cliftonville Townhouse. Well behaved assistance dogs are welcome.

Prices

We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.

Smoking

Smoking is NOT permitted within any part the Cliftonville Townhouse. Please note that offending guests may be asked to leave immediately and may be liable for professional cleaning of any rooms and any outstanding balance of nights booked but not taken through early departure.

Termination Policy

Cliftonville Townhouse reserve the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individuals stay where deemed necessary through unacceptable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others (Please note that non compliance of our non smoking policy may constitute termination). In such circumstances any outstanding account must be settled, no refunds will be made.

Wi-Fi Access

By using our Wi-Fi Service you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of use in force at the time. 

We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.

You acknowledge and agree that all intellectual property rights (including, but not limited to, copyrights (including rights in software), trademarks, database rights, patents and inventions) in and relating to the service are owned by us and our licensors or contractors. Nothing in this agreement operates to transfer any such intellectual property rights to you.

We reserve the right to assign or sub-contract any of our rights and obligations under this agreement without notice to you.

If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions shall nevertheless remain in full force and effect.

This agreement is governed by the laws of England and the parties here to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
